Venø Church has 55 seats which makes it the smallest church in the country. It was built in the 16th century and the size of the main room is only about 50 m2. In the small church chamber you will find sections of the original murals. 
There is a black board with all the names of the previous priest and by reading through the names and dates you will learn that only few priest kept the job for a longer period of time. The island priest was also working as a schoolteacher up until 2004 when the local school was closed. 
Every Thursday during the summer, the church hosts a music event by sunset.
